Do you have proven experience delivering Bureau Services within the Utilities industry? We are looking for an Energy Bureau Analyst to join a property company. In this role you will support the management of the utilities value chain, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient procurement, budgeting, payment, recharging and relationship management. To be successful in this role you will need proven experience in invoice and consumption data validation, cost recovery, tenant recharging, have a proven background within the energy/utility industry, have a good knowledge of wholesale trends, legislative framework, supply base, contract structures and invoicing solutions. Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the operational contract management of utility providers
  • Negotiate and develop with third party providers remedial action plans
  • Responsibility for a portfolio of c.10 assets
  • Critical analysis of all created recharges, ensuring delivery of invoices to tenants
  • Management of meter readings from non-AMR meters
  • Management of the connections and disconnections process for new/redundant meters
  • Assisting and validating the annual service charge budgets with the Energy Bureau Manager
  • Research and interpret market and legislative forces to account for changes in tariffs and consumption
  • Provide commentary on forecasted consumption to Operations for inclusion in Service Charge booklets
  • Review budgets to identify causes for significant variances
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Generation of payment and service charge journals

Skills and experience required: 

  • Initiative-taking individual, who strives to deliver best in class service
  • Able to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders
  • IT Literacy - Microsoft Excel Creator or above
  • Ability to Identify and analyse problems
  • Experience of translating big data into quantitative and qualitative narratives/summaries, tailored to specific audiences for maximum engagement
  • Able to negotiate effectively with relevant stakeholders
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proven experience delivering bureau services
  • Understanding of basic accountancy processes and procedures
  • Good knowledge of the markets, including wholesale trends, legislative framework, supply base, contract structures and invoicing solutions
  • Understanding of the key internal and external drivers of consumption
