Role purpose

Here at Utility People, we specialise in supplying professionals to the energy and utilities space, have been operating since 2006 and are now looking for an Account Manager to join our growing recruitment team. This job is about finding the right person, with the right attitude and work ethic – the rest can be taught. The most important thing is that we are looking for someone with a drive to succeed and a real can-do attitude. Post-lockdown, recruitment in the energy and utilities sectors has gone crazy, and this role has come about due to the volume of vacancies literally rolling through the door. As a result, you will be given a ‘warm desk’ with active clients and open vacancies and with all the support you will need to establish yourself in this sector. We can offer a fully flexible, hybrid home:office model, competitive salary + uncapped commission.

Experience required

  • Experience in a sales / account management / customer service role
  • Polite and confident on the telephone with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly
  • Entrepreneurial flair with resilience, determination, drive and ambition
  • Self-motivated and a strong initiative (even more important for remote-working!)
  • Ability to conduct online research for screening and shortlisting candidates
  • Used to a target driven and competitive environment
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Basic Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Power-point, Excel and Outlook)
  • Full UK Driving license
