Summary:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Business Development manager to join an Investment Management and Advisory Group who are passionate about Renewable investments, providing green energy solutions to their customers to decarbonise their estates and reduce energy costs through Solar PV, Battery, EV Charging etc. As the Business Development Manager, you will lead on the sales effort and support and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the company’s sales strategy to expand the future growth of the sales function through identification of new business, focusing on I&C - Industrial & Commercial clients in the UK and Ireland.To be successful in this role you will need a strong background in the I&C market, be a strong and driven sales professional, specifically in the renewables or Energy sector.  If this job sounds like a good fit for you, apply today!

Key responsibilities:

  • 5-8 years experience in the Energy industry
  • Support the negotiation and follow-up of PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) Contracts
  • You will be accountable for establishing and developing business relationships with potential customers and EPC Contractors
  • Manage key client relationships and develop a pipeline of ambitious growth opportunities
  • Managing the selling and marketing process
  • Develop the future growth of the sales function by sourcing growth opportunities
  • Maintain relationships and communications with existing customers and EPC contractors
  • Supporting and leading the negotiation and follow up of PPA contracts
  • Develop reports on pipeline opportunities and growth
  • Stay up to date with market information, including competitor benchmarking
  • Provide rolling forecasts and provide strategic insights into the conversion of such forecasts
  • Coordinate with cross function teams to advise customer and pipeline activity 

Skills and experience required: 

  • Strong background in sales in the Renewables/Energy I&C sector
  • Significant experience in selling/brokering energy solutions
  • Excellent network of contacts within the UK and Ireland
  • Must be able to “hit the ground running”
  • Have a Credible network of corporate clients that are interested in solar PV PPA solutions
  • Excellent understanding of the energy market, and how corporate clients procure electricity
  • Excellent project management skills, managing the full sales life-cycle
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
