Summary:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join a company that specialise in offering comprehensive services and solutions to businesses. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting comprehensive range of services. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and a strong track record in business development, with a focus on prospecting and converting opportunities. Key responsibilities:

  • Generate and prospect new leads for client acquisition through various channels
  • Manage existing client relationships and identify opportunities for growth
  • Attend industry events and exhibitions to represent the company
  • Conduct regular client visits and engage in virtual meetings
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of our range of services, including procurement projects, utility management contracts, net-zero solutions, sustainability initiatives, renewables opportunities, and legislative compliance services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised solutions and proposals for clients
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the growth of the company
 

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in business development
  • Proven track record of success in generating leads, closing deals, and achieving sales targets
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Consultancy background is highly desirable, but not necessarily energy-focused
  • Passion for sustainability, renewables, and driving positive change in the industry
  • Ethical approach to sales and a commitment to maintaining a professional image
  • Willingness to travel and visit clients across the UK (with occasional visits to the headquarters in Glasgow)
