Summary:
Reporting into the Head of pricing for a major energy retailer, the Contracts Manager is responsible for the management maintenance and development of contractual clauses and variations associated with optimising revenues and reducing risk. You will take responsibility for an in depth understanding of all contract variations and working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, partner with the business to improve controls, optimise revenue and mitigate operational risk. Ultimately you will contribute to sales margin across both the SME and Major business sectors. - Acquire an in-depth knowledge of all contract variations and applicable contract clauses
- Manage central record of all contract clauses with associated potential revenue optimisation
- Manage the execution of contractual clauses to optimise the associated value
- Review of current business position associated to contract optimisation
- Develop and optimise existing contract clauses, to ensure accuracy and efficiency to optimise revenue whilst ensuring the best possible customer experience
- Identify system inefficiencies relating to contract clauses and work with IT to make changes.
- Transition projects to BAU processes when required
- Manage multiple stakeholders and lead virtual teams to deliver projects successfully
- Present proposals/analysis to senior management to achieve sign off.
- Make improvements to T+Cs to improve effectiveness and/or reduce risk
Skills and experience required:
- Able to drive revenue optimisation initiatives through managing contracts currently in place and for future contractual agreements.
- Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written form
- Experience of building business cases and forming logical arguments based on insight
- Demonstrated customer focus in previous roles
- Experienced in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Used to dealing with commercial energy contracts
