- Be directly responsible for growing and retaining a customer portfolio.
- Successfully achieve KPIs for sales, pipeline and productivity metrics.
- Prepare strategies/account plans which will identify risks, retention and developing new business opportunities.
- Regularly hold account management meetings & conference calls with customers
- Manage full end-to-end contract process to successfully onboard customers
- Establish strategic relationships with key decision makers at customer organisations
- Utilising CRM efficiently and demonstrating effective time management
- Grow a portfolio of new business customers
- Produce quality customer communication plans
- Manage upcoming and ongoing tenders/quotations to ensure deadlines are met
- Support with coaching/training sessions
- Continuously build your understanding of the energy market and new products
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of success, including B2B sales.
- Experience in the energy industry and familiarity with KPI-driven environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and convert a strong sales pipeline.
- Highly motivated, with a tenacious and competitive spirit in a fast-paced market.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a charismatic and engaging telephone manner.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective questioning, listening, and objection-handling skills to identify customer needs and drive sales.
- Confident in pitching and closing sales, with a passion for constantly developing product knowledge.
