EV Installer

Role purpose

A major EV Charge Point operator are seeking a qualified an EV Installer who can manage the design and efficient installation of EV Charge Points. You will lead on mobilising all EV installations, ensuring projects are delivered within time and budget and manage all aspects of EV installations across in-house teams and subcontracting teams. You will be an experienced qualified Electrical/ Engineer with EV installation experience and all relevant qualifications and training.

Job responsibilities

• To act as the EV expert within the business and assist with all EV enquiries
• Conduct survey visits to allow the accurate design and quotation of EV installation works
• Obtain infrastructure quotes from 3rd parties such as DNO’s, ICP’s, subcontractors, etc
• Lead on mobilising EV installations, ensuring projects are delivered within time and budget
• Manage all aspects of EV installations across in-house teams and subcontracting teams
• Uphold highest level of quality and safety, performing field audits and quality checks
• Take on the role as Quality Supervisor to help maintain the NIC accreditation
• Oversee and complete all necessary testing and commissioning on completed project work
• Build strong working relationships with clients and other Stark teams
• Strive for continuous improvement to ensure a best in class service is maintained

Experience required

• Reasonable level of physical fitness and manual dexterity to undertake manual work
• Full UK driving licence
• Be willing to work outside of normal working hours and regular overnight stays
• Prepared to work in all weathers, and in sometimes difficult or dirty conditions
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and rapport-building abilities
• Able to use standard Microsoft packages, plus other company software packages
• Experienced qualified electrical engineer with EV installation experience
• NVQ Level 3 & AM2
• 18th edition qualification
• Electric Vehicle Installer qualification (C&G course)
• Testing and inspection (C&G 2391)
• Experience as a Quality Supervisor for NICEICTraining, Registrations and Renewals with Safety Body as required:
• ECS Gold Card (CSCS affiliated)
• CCSNG Safety Passport
• EUSR SHEA Card (CSCS Affiliated)
• CSCS Card
• PASMA/PAL/IPAF Mobile Tower Access
• DBS certificate

The role is 45 hours per week usually Mon- Friday. There is also a requirement to work evenings, nights and weekends depending on the project for which overtime will be paid. 1.5 at weekends, 1.25 during the week. Night shifts 1.33. Subsistence and expenses are also paid according to the STS Expense policy.
