Summary:

We are looking for a Finance Executive to join an expanding and successful energy consultancy / management company.  The role is to deliver accurate financial reporting to their clients on a regular and consistent basis, using their mark leading in-house systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the energy industry with excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.  If this sounds like the job for you apply today!

 Key responsibilities:

  •  Working through training program modules to ensure the basics of energy procurement and management are in place
  • Understand software platforms from a client facing and internal management perspective
  • Responsibility for the creation of period cost, accrual reports and budgets for clients
  • Running system reports, checking integrity and completeness of data.
  • Organise and prioritise workload to meet various reporting deadlines and client needs
  • Design bespoke reports to increase efficiency and accuracy of data
  • Presenting period numbers and explanation of movement to clients, virtually and in person
  • Assist with the production and maintenance of up-to-date processes and procedures
  • Onboard new clients to the accruals and budgets services
  • Customer services/satisfaction levels measured and improved
  • Continuous improvement across the systems and reporting
  • Liaise across the various internal teams to achieve to accrual and budget requirements

 Skills and experience required: 

  •  Extensive experience working in the energy industry
  • Understanding of fixed / flex procurement, cost / consumption reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Finance Manager experience and exposure to working with Corporate clients
  • Good knowledge / experience of cost charging / accrual generation and financial reporting
  • Experience in managing multiple workloads and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Strong numeracy and written / communication skills
  • High level of competency with MS Office including Word, Powerpoint and especially Excel
  • Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
