Summary:

We are looking for a Gas Consumption & Settlement Administrator to join an international Energy Supplier. As the Gas Consumption & Settlement Administrator you will validate and accept gas consumption data into the billing system and ensure that accurate consumption data enters gas settlements. To be successful you will need to have a good understanding of the customer lifecycle and interdependencies between Billing and Market Operations, have a proven record of excellent customer service, and have a degree level qualification. Previous energy sector experience is desirable but not essential. So, I this role sounds like the ideal fit for you, apply today!  

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure reads are obtained from customers premises in line with industry targets
  • Monitoring and resolving issues preventing data collection from DM sites
  • Validating data prior to its acceptance in the billing system
  • Entering actual and estimated data into the billing system
  • Ensure reads are received, validated and correctly communicated into settlement processes
  • Ensure volumes in settlement match the consumption used at customers premises
  • Organise meter compliance inspections to comply with relevant industry codes
  • Ensure Third Party information is received, and site work is completed within timescales.
  • Processing and resolution of opening and closing read disputes in the Gas market.
  • Raising Requests for Adjustment where settled data is incorrect.
 

Skills and experience required:

  • Have a good understanding of the customer lifecycle and interdependencies between Billing and Market Operations and interfacing departments
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to produce accurate work within tight deadlines
  • Process improvement methodology expertise is beneficial
  • Verbal comprehension, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience of a similar role within the Energy sector is desirable
  • Proven record of excellent customer service
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C (or equivalent)
  • Degree level (or equivalent)
