- Lead end-to-end energy procurement for commercial clients, ensuring competitive energy pricing, favourable contract terms, and reliable supply.
- Work closely with clients to understand their energy needs, objectives, & budget constraints.
- Analyse market trends, energy consumption pattern, and regulatory changes to develop effective energy procurement strategies.
- Build/maintain strong relationships with energy suppliers, negotiating favourable terms
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, and evaluate their offerings.
- Monitor/manage energy contracts, ensuring compliance & addressing contract-related issues.
- Provide expert advice to clients regarding energy efficiency measures, demand response opportunities, and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on energy procurement strategies, market analysis, and cost-saving opportunities to clients and internal stakeholders.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in business, Economics, Energy Management, or related field (Master's ideal)
- 2+ years in energy procurement/account management in German business energy market.
- In-depth knowledge of the German energy market, including regulatory frameworks, market player, and pricing structures.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favourable energy contracts.
- Solid comms/interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with clients/suppliers.
- Proficiency in using energy procurement software and tools.
- Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
- A passion for sustainability and energy efficiency is a plus.
