We are looking for a Metering and Exceptions Team Manager to join a join an award winning, well-established software and data management provider delivering services to energy suppliers and industry participants. The role is to manage a team of operations analysts and oversee the day-to-day activity required by adding value to their clients for both operations performance and exception management. The ideal candidate will have a background in Metering processes and a strong understanding of Gas and Electricity Data flows. - Day-to-day management of the Industry Ops team of up to 12 Operations Analysts
- Manage metering exceptions and associated processes for a large portfolio of customer accounts
- Performance management of Operations Analysts and Client Relationship Management
- Client Relationship Management and regular communication with Industry 3rd Parties
- Maintain close working relationships with Billing Teams and regular communication with 3rd Parties
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality
- Internal stakeholder relationships with product, engineering, support and client relationship teams
- Add value to the experience of clients, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders through practicing and promoting the companies values
Skills and experience required:
- A background in Energy, in particular “Back-Office” Metering processes (essential)
- A strong understanding of current Gas and Electricity dataflows which facilitate resolution of Metering exceptions
- People and performance management, coaching and onboarding new starters
- Problem solving and prioritisation to meet key targets and deadlines
- Communication and presentation skills to support internal team and external client meetings
- MS office proficiency and excel intermediate level as a minimum to support data analysis
- Experience of industry practices and obligations relevant to the position under BSCP, MRA, SPAA, REC2, GSOP, SLC
