Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Net Zero Manager to join a market-leading energy data and management consultancy. The role is to manage the Energy Services and Sustainability Department, overseeing a team of ESOS Assessors and Energy Consultants. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded with a technical background in an energy related field and some knowledge / experience in Net Zero / GHG reporting within sustainability or related discipline. A supervisor or senior looking for the next step up would be considered.Key responsibilities:
- Commercial management & day to day operation of Energy Services and Sustainability depts
- Growth of both departments by promoting available and new services to existing / prospective clients, directly and via consultants
- General management of Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer and office-based staff
- Liaise with 3rd parties / clients on projects to monitor and ensure smooth progress with satisfied completion / clients
- Have initial client discussions about EED Article 8 services and on-site resilience (PV, CHP etc) or compliance schemes (ESOS, Energy Audit Requirements etc)
- Maintain knowledge base of staff by assisting with group training / awareness sessions
- Ability to manage staff in the office and remote workers
- Commercially control / monitor discussions with clients / prospects about services
- Understand the main energy reporting / compliance schemes such as ESOS, EED Article 8 (in Europe), EPCs, EPBD, TM44, Heat Network regulations etc
- Ability to work closely with other staff / consultants to support overall service to clients
- Confidence to hold meetings and presentations, face to face and online
- Experience in project management, energy efficiency and onsite generation will be needed
- Knowledge or experience in Net Zero / GHG reporting
