Summary:

We are looking for a New Business Development Manager with a background in selling technical energy solutions or asset sales who understand the key customer drivers and funding options for on-site generation, energy efficiency and de-carbonisation projects. You will be instrumental to the growth of the business by winning new clients and ensuring the transition from other service providers goes smoothly with a focus on customer experience. The ideal candidate will be able to provide market and business insights to devise client strategies to deliver customer value and help them fulfil their goals. Key responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects and generate new business opportunities with help from the CRM system
  • Maximising opportunities for ROI on marketing activity
  • Planning, preparing and attending client meetings
  • Maintain strategic account development plans for the top 10% of prospects
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
  • Preparing formal proposals
  • Negotiating and landing deals
  • Providing accurate monthly reports
  • Networking and developing relationships, ensuring targets and KPIs are achieved
  • Engage with the wider team to identify opportunities for business growth
 

Skills and experience required: 

  • Successful background in selling to businesses
  • Evidence of pipeline management that delivers and exceeds targets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated & ambitious
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Team player with high energy levels
  • Commercially astute with a track record of delivering to growth targets
  • Excellent time management skills
