Summary:

Are you an experienced Business Development manager passionate about sustainability?  Our client, one of the UK’s most innovative energy consultants, are looking to appoint a New Business Development Manager to join their growing team.  You will be contributing to sales growth whilst helping customers throughout the UK reduce their energy costs and support their transition to a carbon net zero future.  To be successful in this role you will have a background in selling technical energy solutions or asset sales and understand the key customer drivers and funding options for on-site generation, energy efficiency and de-carbonisation projects.  If this sounds like you, apply today!

Key responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects and generate new opportunities
  • Planning, preparing, and attending client meetings
  • Maintain strategic account development plans for the top 10% of prospects
  • Crafting presentation decks
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
  • Preparing formal proposals and negotiating/landing deals
  • Networking and developing relationships with potential partners and introducers
  • Each opportunity is reported on timely and accurately & update pipeline report
  • Provide monthly sales report
  • Play an active role in ensuring targets and KPI’s are achieved
  • Highlight opportunities for business development and research
  • Engage with the wider team to identify opportunities for business growth
 

Skills and experience required:

  • A background in selling technical energy solutions or asset sales
  • A solid background in selling successfully to businesses
  • Understand key customer drivers and funding options for on-site generation, energy efficiency and de-carbonisation projects
  • Demonstrable evidence of pipeline management that delivers and exceeds targets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-Motivated & Ambitious with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Commercially astute with a track record delivering to growth targets
  • Ability to manage own timetable and meet deadlines
