Summary:

Are you a good all-rounder with experience within the energy or water industry?  If so, we are working with a leading energy consultancy who are expanding their team and looking for an Operations Team Lead.  This is a varied role, including managing a portfolio of key clients, acting as their energy and water specialist, but will also require you to manage a team and conduct some business development activity.  The ideal candidate will have 5+ years Energy and Water experience, ideally with a good understanding of flexible purchasing, and risk management strategies.  If you are motivated and looking to progress your career within the energy industry, apply today!  

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the workload of Account Managers, Analysts and Billing Advisors
  • Promote and deliver best in class customer service to all clients
  • Responsible for the continual improvement of delivered services
  • Hold responsibility for the renewal of existing SLA arrangements with client base
  • Be the relationship conduit between the company and their clients
  • Fully responsible for a portfolio of key clients – act as their energy and water specialist
  • Cross selling / upselling of services to existing clients and networking to generate leads
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients with the sales and delivery team
  • Provide management information, including performance and KPI reporting for the team
  • Lead internal and external stakeholder meetings as required
  • Mentor and develop direct reports
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as per the agreed workplan
  • Identify the customer needs and coordinate actions by bringing in others within the business

Skills and experience required:

  • A minimum of 5 years working in the UK energy and water industry
  • Team management experience in a fast-moving environment
  • An understanding of flexible purchasing/energy basket/risk management strategies
  • Some experience of business development capability would be useful
  • Excellent presentation skills with strong proposal writing skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly word & excel.
  • Personable and Self motivated
  • Full UK Clean Driving Licence
