Summary:

Are you looking for career progression and the opportunity to develop? Our client, a leading independent energy supplier, is looking for a Power Operations Administrator. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone who is very innovative, has an eye for efficiencies and wants to develop a career in an analytical role in the energy industry. You will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of data from various sources, data processing, query resolution and helping the department minimise costs by managing core processes. As you progress within the role, you will naturally develop your Excel skills and be exposed to various reporting tools.  If you have excellent numerical skills and good attention to detail, contact us today!

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse and resolve any data issues and anomalies
  • Maintain spreadsheets to a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain and close exception created by our billing system
  • Supporting Analysts with internal projects
  • Updating and maintaining energy industry and customer data into our internal billing system
  • Resolve queries for both customers and internal colleagues, working with third party providers
  • Work with third party providers, building strong relationships
  • Identifying, communicating and delivering improvements to business processes
  • Working collaboratively with cross business colleagues
  • Reporting on your own performance weekly to Senior team members
  • Supporting all activities to ensure compliance to Energy industry performance targets
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong academic background
  • Intermediate experience of Microsoft packages, including Excel
  • Experience in analysing large data sets and reporting
  • Excellent numerical skills with a great eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and understand deadlines
  • Energy experience – desirable
