Summary:

We are looking for a Programme Manager to join a market leading technical, regeneration and energy services company.  The role is to manage Urban Energy construction projects in Inner London and the south of England (CHP, gas boilers, heat pumps, decarbonisation of BU, chilled water, district heating and cooling pipework). The ideal candidate will have HNC / degree level (in either a mechanical or electrical discipline), within the energy / utilities industry, with experience of delivery a portfolio of £multi-million M&C / Civil projects with a diverse project delivery team.  Apply today for more information!  

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil projects via PMs and site managers
  • Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, Planners and QS / legal teams
  • Produce bill of quantity / materials take off, ensuring all deliverable are to required specification
  • Ensure legal compliance between all contractual parties and contractors
  • Adhere to project delivery systems / procedures with timely production of O&M manuals
  • Develop / maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Produce weekly / monthly project progress reports and fulfil Principal Contractor role when needed
  • Work with the planner to track, monitor and report project status to senior management
  • Effectively plan, allocate and manage resources, complying with company policies / procedures
  • Manage and own the project budgets, producing monthly financial reports with the project QS
  • Coordinate with Commissioning Manager and Operation
  • Be responsible for the quality of delivery and final installation
  • Attend client and internal BU meetings and work with SHEQ team and CDM Manager

Skills and experience required: 

  • HNC / degree level required in either a mechanical or electrical discipline
  • CSCS Project Manager and NRSWA Card
  • SMSTS and First Aid qualified
  • Experience delivering portfolio of £multi-million M&E / Civil Projects with diverse project delivery team
  • Extensive Project Management, Mechanical / Electrical /Civil engineering experience
  • Commercial / contract, client presentation and BD experience
  • Experience working within utilities / energy industry
