Summary:
The project manager will be embedded in the client delivery organisation, supporting the delivery of significant major projects with specific construction or nuclear challenges. The role will be to ensure planning and delivery is undertaken in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the project. The successful candidate will have previous experience of delivering projects with a degree, management qualification and be digitally savvy.Key responsibilities:
- Defining the work scope to be delivered within the contract of work
- Securing the required resources to meet project requirements
- Ensuring the maintenance of SQEP and promptly identifying personnel issues
- Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders
- Executing the project / Project Execution Plan within contract of work
- Ensuring the delivery of the contract safely, on time and to budget meeting all requirements
- Monitoring and managing the progress of the programme
- Resolving issues within the contract
- Applying the principles of continuous improvement
- Ensuring a high level of safety, security and environmental responsibilities
- Interfacing with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how project is progressing
Skills and experience required:Â
- Degree qualification in a related field and a professional project management qualification
- Prior experience of delivering projects within a technically complex / dynamic environment
- Experience in the nuclear energy sector or similar regulated environment (preferred)
- Ability to build lasting client relationships and provide support to team members
- Excellent computer skills
