A leading infrastructure investment and asset management company are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join their growing team. Your role will be to maximise the adoption of their smart meter offering by UK Domestic Energy Suppliers, by the way of new business development. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will identify sales leads, pitch services to new clients and maintain excellent working relationships with those contacts. The role will essentially be home based, however, some UK travel and overnight stays may be required. - Develop and execute account strategies for target and existing accounts
- Develop and maintain the customer database
- Develop relationships with energy suppliers and partners
- Support negotiations of new contracts
- Liaise with management regarding client requirements
- Deliver growth targets by winning new business
- Attending industry events and seminars
- Providing regular updates to management team on personal and account performance
- Communicate new product developments to prospects and clients.
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience working with senior managers of energy suppliers and partners
- Strong knowledge of sales process, sales skills, and sales theory
