Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Client Relationship Manager to join one of the UK’s leading utility and energy consultants. As a Senior Client Relationship Manager, you will manage and lead a team of Client Managers, Senior Analysts and Analysts to deliver high quality customer services to the clients within your portfolio.  You will ensure the smooth delivery of services including fixed and flex tendering, bill validation, energy & carbon services and where appropriate, risk and trading services. You will also ensure service level agreements are met, providing the highest level of customer service.  To be successful in this role you will need to have proven experience in a client relationship manager role (or similar), have proven management experience, and be an excellent communicator and negotiator. Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of large clients, advising on all aspects of their sourcing and use
  • Oversee high quality customer service and service delivery to clients
  • Ensure client service level agreements are met
  • Responsible for the management and service delivery to clients within your client portfolio
  • Ensure timely and accurate fixed or flex procurement tenders
  • Ensure timely and accurate bill validation and Budget reporting
  • Responsible for resolving client issues with energy suppliers/other industry parties etc.
  • Regular review meetings with clients.
  • Ensure all clients have up-to-date account plans which are maintained.
  • Provide KPI reporting to your team on all clients in a timely manner.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure the successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Provide advice to clients on “Net Zero”, kWh and carbon reduction, etc.
  • Support analysts and develop their skills and knowledge

Skills and experience required: 

  • Experience within the electricity and gas retail industry
  • Account management experience with energy users
  • At least 5 years’ experience in energy preferably within the retail (B2B) energy sector
  • Industry knowledge on new technologies (e.g. solar, EV, battery storage etc) - Desirable
  • Experience of goal setting and communicating strategy essential
  • Proven experience as a Client Relations Manager or Relationship Manager
  • Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce)
  • A customer-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
