Summary:
A large facilities management and professional services company, who manage a diverse, blue-chip customer base are looking for a Senior Energy Analyst to work within a Technical Reporting team, which provides price forecasting, analytical reporting and back office duties for customers on risk managed flexible energy contracts. As a Senior Energy Analyst you will be responsible for the management of key clients and their complex flexibly energy supply contracts. - Manage flexible energy contracts for the I&C customers
- Collaborate with the trading desk in the analysis of risk management performance
- Create energy budget for clients
- Lead and coordinate internal/external entities to resolve clients ad-hoc queries
- Mentor junior members of the team, ensuring work produced is verified accordingly
- Build bespoke financial reports for customers, in Excel or relevant analytical software
- Write daily reports on wholesale market developments
- Research and analyse non-commodity charges
- Develop analytical models including development of algorithms in Matlab
Skills required
- 2-3 years experience in an energy utility company or energy consultancy
- High proficiency in Excel
- Strong quantitative, writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Programming experience in Matlab, VBA and SQL preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of flexible energy contracts is highly desirable
- Able to work within a dynamic environment with good attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively self-manage priorities
- Excellent team working skills
