We are looking for a Strategic Relationship Manager to join a leading energy consultancy. As a Strategic Relationship Manager, you will develop and sustain the working relationship with key corporate clients in the UK and Europe. The Strategic Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the customer relationship, including procurement, risk management, carbon/ sustainability management etc. The Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working in the energy/ utility industry, great commercial acumen and a proven track record of account managing corporate clients and delivering exceptional service. - Be the relationship conduit between the company’s core delivery teams and the client
- Create and implement account management plan in conjunction with Head of I&C and client sponsor
- Ensure service delivery and reporting requirements are commensurate with the agreed scope of SLA
- Be responsible for the commercial activity negotiations with your clients
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients with our operational service delivery teams
- Coordinate and attend bi-weekly and / or monthly client energy risk management calls
- Manage and coordinate supply contract renewal processes with operational support– including recommendations
- Provide in timely fashion Quarterly Risk Management meeting agenda, then chairing the activity
- Hold responsibility for the renewal of existing Service Level Agreement arrangements with client base
- Develop the account so that all cross and upsell opportunities are sourced, presented, costed and sold
- Monitor client fee payment schedule is adhered to
- Managing partner relationships with scope delivery
- Develop client relationship so as to drive third party recommendations, testimonials and case studies
- Work with the account sponsor to ensure client satisfaction
Skills and experience required:
- A minimum of 5 years working in the UK energy within Account/ Relationship Management of I&C or corporate clients – essential
- Great knowledge of consultancy services – procurement, bureau, carbon/ sustainability etc essential
- Experience in upselling services and renewing/ retaining client accounts – essential
- An in depth understanding of flexible purchasing/risk management strategies - highly desirable
- Excellent presentation skills- essential
- A confident presenter – essential
- Strong proposal writing skills- essential
- International energy procurement experience- desirable
- Fluent in at least one other language other than English – desirable
