Summary:

An international energy consultancy is recruiting an experienced energy manager to help in delivery of net zero, energy and carbon management strategies. The ideal candidate will be a registered ESOS lead assessor prepared to visit clients across UK & Europe to carry out audits, produce reports and make recommendations on how clients can use energy more efficiently, investigate energy systems & potential for investing in renewable and on-site generation technologies.  You will be involved in managing projects and technical delivery throughout the process.  Apply today for the Sustainability Consultant!

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver existing energy and carbon management projects
  • Assist the Sales and Marketing team develop new proposals
  • Manage ESOS projects from start to final delivery
  • Work with clients to develop and deliver energy projects across a range of industries
  • Be capable of managing stakeholders’ expectations
  • Undertake a project management role against agreed budgets and timings
  • Build relationships both internally and externally with existing partners and sub-contractors
  • Provide technical expertise to develop new bids and projects
  • Site visits/audits across the UK and Europe

Skills and experience required: 

  • An Experienced ESOS Lead Assessor - CIBSE, EMA, EED etc would be beneficial
  • Analytical, used to assisting I&C clients with energy modelling, surveys & audits
  • Experience developing renewable and on-site generation opportunities
  • Presenting project outcomes and recommendations from energy site audits to clients
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage and account for time spent,
  • High level of computer literacy, including the full Microsoft Office software suite
  • Degree and/or Master’s in Energy Engineering and Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy Systems or similar
  • Member of a professional institution working towards Chartered status
