Summary:
Our client is a fast-growing developer and operator of renewable power both in the UK and further afield. They have developed a wide portfolio of renewable assets and deliver low-carbon energy from hydro and biofuel sources for use in large I&C organisations. As part of their growth, they are seeking an experienced UK Power Trader, to take ownership and manage the trading, and optimisation of the company’s trading positions of their Real-time, Spot and Imbalance markets. - Manage the trading, and optimisation and ownership of Marble Power’s trading positions in the Real-time, Spot and Imbalance markets
- Manage internal and external trade and customer positions as well as pricing and optimising the exposure
- Execute power trades within mandated authorities on Epex platform
- Be highly driven, independent with a focus on attention to detail and error free work
- Analyse fundamental and technical market conditions and devise and implement profitable trading strategies within intraday market
Skills and experience required
- Power trading experience in the UK market (>2 years) - ideally intra-day market trading
- The intricacies of UK power pricing, the various intra-day markets and the trading opportunities around energy transition
- The management and pricing of renewable assets and portfolio optimisation
- High level of proficiency in Excel and VBA; SQL, Python, and statistical modelling. Able to demonstrate scalability and automation
