Summary:
We are looking for a Water Field Technician to join a specialist data collection provider in the Water and Utilities sector. The role is an investigative one, rather than simply reading meters and includes collecting consumption data from commercial water meters through a non-invasive process. The role involves a combination of technical and physical work, with the technician required to work in all types of weather conditions sometimes in confined spaces. Must work to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have some meter reading experience, strong communication skills, a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle. - Conduct investigations into water meter consumptions, connections and usage on construction sites and specific district meter areas
- Ensure all workstreams are delivered in a timely and efficient manner
- Work collaboratively with other members of the operations team
- Complete daily work packages and maintain accurate records of all investigations
- Report within agreed service levels and maintaining a consistent approach to quality
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment and adhering to best safe work practices

- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot / diagnose issues
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- An awareness of confined spaces and manual handling is required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the operations team
- Ability to take instruction and work independently
- Basic computer skills, ability to use email, word processing, and spreadsheet software
- Must have full UK driving licence and vehicle (mileage reimbursed £0.19p/mile)
