Last year during the first lockdown, Lisa was engaged on a major Executive Search project for a client central to the UK’s gas distribution market, who deliver a full suite of vital services to gas suppliers, shippers, and transporters.
The Gas industry was and is currently going through major change and disruption, and this organisation felt they needed candidates from outside the industry to bring fresh ideas and innovation to an already successful Board, which was heavily weighted with Industry experts. Her brief from the client was to identify 2 Non-Executives Directors, one with experience in Technology (Cyber Security) and the other from a Financial background. The client also specified the incoming NEDs should not already be over-committed so they would have the time and energy to devote to these key appointments.

Successfully placed 2 NEDs – one Technology focused, and one Finance focused.
The Technology NED had 20 years’ experience in public and private change and transformation programmes growing technology-based businesses to create options for diversification. He is focused on data driven capabilities, customer experience and people management.
The Finance NED had 25 years’ financial, strategic, and operational experience largely in highly regulated businesses in water and financial services and focused on customer experience and people management. He has the ability to set clear corporate vision, with a well-embedded culture for customer-led success. He operates as effectively within a boardroom as he does with people on the front line.
