Why Executive Search?
An Executive search Consultant like myself, operates on an exclusive, client-centred basis and on a limited number of assignments at one time. My job is to find candidates with diverse backgrounds and who are often not actively looking for work.
Contingency Recruiters tend to work on many assignments concurrently. If a particular assignment is not getting traction, they have little incentive to continue. Whereas if I am working on your project, I WILL fill your role.
I am engaged in all aspects of the process, from defining the search, reaching out to my network and beyond. This begins with understanding my client’s industry, business strategy, and unique needs. I conduct in-depth competency-based interviews, and due diligence processes augmented by psychometric testing. The result will be a short list of the most qualified candidates. They will fit well with the culture and match the specific opportunity.
There are many other added benefits too. My clients not only get to hire the best there is, but they get a whole load of market intelligence. As well as this, they get to find out what their competitors are up to!
I am driven to ensure the long-term commitment and impact of the person hired, and to help secure a lasting, successful executive hire for my client.
When would you use Executive Search?
My clients come to me typically for senior-level executive positions and board directors. Assignments are generally for positions where the best candidate is harder to find and harder to persuade to make a move, and where the potential impact of success or failure is greatest.
My clients know I will treat their Brief and any potential candidates with a high degree of confidentiality, and help these hidden candidates see the potential advantages of making a move for the right opportunity.
What I do is totally different to contingency recruitment, and is a highly specialised sector of the recruitment market. So, if you have a key role to hire, why not message me for a confidential chat?
