Our client is a growing energy consultancy who are seeking an experience Account Manager to maintain delivery of their energy procurement services and upsell and cross sell a range of energy management / net zero services.  Managing a portfolio of corporate customers,  4 key accounts and a small number of SMEs.  You will deliver a high-quality service resulting in a high level of client retention, together with increasing the average revenue per client through the upselling and cross selling activity.  If you are skilled in building and nurturing relationships have excellent industry knowledge and experience in energy procurement ideally including flexible products, then. Key responsibilities:

  • Negotiation and implementation of clients’ annual energy contracts, both flex & fixed price
  • Interface directly with large, sometimes multi-site, clients at board room level
  • Meeting KPI’s, retention, up-selling, and client issues
  • Maintenance of CRM records and contract management
  • Liaise directly with utility suppliers on behalf of their clients
  • Co-ordinate/deliver strategic interaction and reporting for multicommodity corporate clients
  • Support other divisions in contact/visiting Clients such as Technical Team (surveys) and Sales
  • Ability to articulate client requirements for functional team delivery and resolution
 

Skills and experience required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the energy sector
  • 3 years in an Account Manager role ideally with either consultancy or in house supplier
  • Exemplary communication skills at all levels of businesses – verbal and written
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Commercial risk management skills
  • Problem ownership skills with the ability to work collaborative to find suitable solutions
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel
  • Degree or A- Level – Desirable
