Are you an Energy dataflow/industry flow expert with API Product Development experience, looking to work for an innovative fast-moving company? We are recruiting an API Product Owner to join an organisation at the heart of energy regulation.  Our client is at the forefront of shaping the future of the UK energy market, passionate about leveraging data and insight to drive innovation. As their API Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in championing datasets, collaborating with industry experts, and driving the development and adoption of their API products. Key responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs, drive innovation, gather feedback, and deliver impactful solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Utilise datasets to enhance end customer experiences in digital journeys.
  • Prioritise and maintain a backlog of API product features in line with industry needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, promoting adoption of API products in the energy transition.
  • Keep updated on industry trends and conduct market analysis to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Lead product launches and develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
 

Skills and experience required

  • Essential experience with UK electricity energy dataflows.
  • Proven track record as a Product Owner or Manager, specifically with API products.
  • Deep knowledge of API technologies, RESTful architecture, and web services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
  • Software development experience is desired but not required.
