Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive to join a company specialising in energy procurement and carbon reduction products and services. The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in promoting energy and carbon reduction services, particularly within the public sector. The ideal candidate should have a proven sales track record, a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry and carbon reduction principles, as well as proficiency in managing the entire sales process. It would be advantageous to have prior experience in selling energy procurement and carbon reduction services, and a background in catering to the Education customer market. Key responsibilities:

  • Develop network within the Education sector, cultivating leads from educational institutions.
  • Forge and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within the sector.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings to present the benefits of services to potential customers.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships throughout the sales process
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to devise and execute targeted sales campaigns
  • Monitor and optimise customer retention during contract renewals.
  • Collect data to prepare customised service proposals in coordination with internal teams.
  • Document sales activities and foster a consistent pipeline of future opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and other designated Key Performance Indicators.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the energy or net-zero sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and surpass sales targets consistently.
  • Sound knowledge of Energy industry, with understanding of principles of carbon reduction.
  • Experience in generating and managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and adept IT skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to swiftly establish rapport and influence key stakeholders
  • Competence in managing and overseeing all stages of the sales process.
  • Prior experience in selling to the Education customer market – highly desirable.
