A fast-growing Carbon and Energy consultancy are looking for a Head of Cost Recovery Services. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and understand electricity connections, with the ability to recover savings by knowing how a site should be set up in the most cost-effective way. You will understand what line loss factors should be for each site and understand EHV, HV, LVS, and LV and how to gain savings from these. Also, a good understanding of gas connections and cost recovery would be helpful, plus a further 20% of the role will also be about bill validation which is supported by an IT program, but this person will ensure rates are correct and the best solution is applied for the customer.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage multitude of bureau, validation & cost recovery services the company offer to clients
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers
- Manage the expectations of clients through customer feedback and SLA’s
- Analyse data outputs and draw insights from this analysis to drive data-led energy strategies
- Identify and lead projects to realise additional revenue streams for the business
- Working with our sales and account management teams to ensure robust client onboarding
- Work closely with senior management team to help develop our service offering
- Report department results and activity to senior management via structured KPI’s
- Manage the relationship with the company’s system developers to ensure the system remains best practice and market leading
Skills and experience required:
- Electricity connections background with experience of obtaining cost recovery savings
- Detailed knowledge of utility bills and factors within them
- Understand all elements on electricity, gas invoices, including the ever growing non commodity costs.
- Ideally worked for a utility supplier, brokerage or consultancy
- Problem Solving – adapt to an ever-changing environment and reacting to meet challenges
- Analytical with ability to interpret information from numerous sources and present in reports
- Up to date with all aspects of bill validation and cost recovery.
- Strong communication and great customer service skills and experience
