We are looking for a Head of Metering to join a leading energy supplier. As the Head of Metering, you will be managing a team of 30 (5 direct reports) and you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the company’s metering function. The ideal person will have excellent knowledge of B2B metering, data flows and smart meters. To be successful in this role you will need to be data-driven and a detailed individual who can think and translate information into the bigger picture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Metering team who cover BAU Metering and Smart Metering
  • Refine of first-time right billing performance by improving and efficiently driving the meters to cash cycle whilst supporting debt prevention.
  • Ensure processes are fully compliant to industry regulations.
  • Supporting the debt team in legal disputes by providing accurate metering information
  • Oversee and assess the performance of the smart metering infrastructure.
  • Maintain service levels and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Support the field team in metering and debt-related queries to achieve successful outcome
  • Set & monitor policy for onboarding meters to manage debt prevention & enhance optimisation
 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a similar role within metering management
  • Excellent knowledge of B2B metering including smart metering
  • Extensive knowledge of the energy/ utilities industry in a gas and power supply business in a B2B
  • Data-driven – uses stats to report/ present
  • Comprehensive knowledge of leading and managing operational teams to achieve objectives
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational strategies to match business forecast
  • Commercial mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Good customer account management and business development acumen
