Are you a multi utility service/mains layer? Do you hold a GNO 1 qualification? Our client, a leading utilities provider, are looking for a Multi Utility Team Member to join their growing team. You will be required to safely build and maintain the multi utility network infrastructure to provide a reliable supply of gas, water and electric to a variety of properties. This position requires hands-on work at various sites, regardless of weather conditions. To excel in this role, you should be an experienced multi-utility service layer with relevant GNO qualifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Installation of gas & water mains/services up to and including 355mm, utilising a variety of techniques such as open cut and directional drilling.
- Working in deep excavations and confined spaces.
- Connecting new mains gas, water & electric (cables) to the existing network infrastructure.
- Proficiency in installing LV & HV Electric Mains via Hand Lay or Winch.
- Proficient in squeeze off and electrofusion pipe jointing techniques.
- Connection of services to gas & water mains using diverse methods.
- Installation of a wide range of gas meter housings.
- Ability to reposition electrical equipotential bonding apparatus when removing a meter.
- Competence in butt/electro fusion jointing of gas & water mains.
- Assisting in the insertion of flow stopping equipment to facilitate work on pressurised mains.
Skills and experience required:
- Possess a GNO1, GNO(W) Services & Mains Qualification – Essential
- Experience working in deep excavations and confined spaces.
- Experience in the installation of gas & water mains/services up to and including 355mm
