Our client, a leading UK energy supplier, is looking for an experienced Pricing Manager to join their commercial team. In this role, you will oversee gas and electricity pricing, developing competitive and profitable strategies. Working closely with trading, finance, and sales teams, you will drive informed decision-making, optimise margins and manage risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy pricing, particularly in renewable energy and export pricing, along with in-depth knowledge of wholesale energy markets, pricing models, and risk management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement gas and electricity pricing strategies that align with market trends and business objectives.
  • Analyse wholesale markets, competitor pricing and risks to maintain a competitive edge
  • Lead pricing proposals and cost models for both import and export tariffs.
  • Collaborate with the trading team to incorporate live market conditions into pricing strategies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and strong risk management
  • Drive automation and improvements in pricing models and processes
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and product teams to deliver insights and guide commercial decisions.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in pricing within the energy sector (gas and electricity)
  • Strong knowledge of wholesale energy markets, pricing models, and risk management
  • Experience in renewable energy pricing and export pricing is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Finance, Energy, or a related field
