We are looking for a proactive and experienced capital Business Development Manager from the SLG/Wastewater sector to help grow sales in the food and beverage market. You will be responsible for winning and developing new business, helping you to hit sales targets, building pipeline, and winning new customers. Key responsibilities:
- Target and secure new clients
- Generate opportunities and attend new business meetings with clients
- Manage all inbound enquiries
- Implement budgets and Business Plans which meet the long-term business objectives
- Generate new leads through research, networking, referrals and attending events
- Manage performance against target and achieve annual targets
- Manage relationships with key industry experts, trade associations and industry groupings
- 5+ years experience working in the Waste Water/ SLG sectors
- Experienced sales professional from technical service based business such as – plant hire, especially mobile wastewater equipment
- Strong technical background and understanding of SLG
- Track record of negotiating and closing sales, with a motivation to achieve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a high level of commercial drive and awareness
- Expected to spend 80% of your time in client meetings, travel is a major factor predominantly within the UK with some overnight stops. International travel can be expected from time to time.
