A leading energy consultancy is looking for a dedicated and experienced Energy Efficiency Consultant to join their expanding team. In this role, you will play a key part in optimising energy usage, reducing environmental impact, and improving the sustainability of buildings. You will conduct audits to provide clients with tailored advice on energy efficiency, with the long-term goal of building a team around you. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Analyse building systems (HVAC, lighting, insulation) and recommend upgrades.
  • Develop detailed energy models and simulations to evaluate potential savings.
  • Collaborate with clients to create customised energy efficiency plans.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and energy efficiency regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise on renewable energy integration and sustainability.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of energy-saving measures.
  • Participate in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
 

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certified Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) Level 3 & 4 (L5 is desirable).
  • Proficiency in energy modelling software (e.g., Design Builder, IES).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy consulting or building services.
  • Strong understanding of building services and sustainability frameworks (SECR, ESOS, NABERS, EPC, etc.).
  • Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and client management skills.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy-efficient design.
