We are working with one of the country’s leading water companies who are looking for a Technical Assurance Engineer (TAE) to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring technical assurance and managing solution risks within the Assets directorate, focusing on the design of projects such as pumping station upgrades, wastewater treatment, CSOs, and sludge management. Key responsibilities will include developing the Strategic Technical Partner Framework and overseeing design process engineering. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civils, strong experience in structural engineering, and preferably a history of working within a design consultancy in the Utilities or Water sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Strategic Technical Partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Apply efficient solution development and manage process risks.
  • Challenge asset standards and improve design guidelines.
  • Implement technical governance processes.
  • Promote innovation and alternative methods in water industry projects.
  • Embed technical maturity and low-carbon solution principles.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
 

Skills and experience required:

  • 10+ years in the industry or equivalent education/experience.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional body.
  • Experienced in clean-water process engineering design / construction.
  • Project Management and Engineering expertise.
  • Experience in regulated and operational environments.
  • Promote safety culture and drive innovation.
  • Lead team initiatives and support team development.
  • Ensure efficient solution development via TOTEX hierarchy.
  • Implement and manage technical governance processes.
