Summary:

We are looking for a Commercial and Contracts Manager to join a leading Meter Asset Provider. As the Commercial and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the contractual and commercial relationships with its energy supplier customers, installer partners and its meter and IHD suppliers. Your primary focus will be managing meter rental agreements with energy suppliers, tracking and documenting commercial change, ensuring obligations on both sides are being met and supporting in any new deals. You will also be responsible for maintaining the relationships with installers and manufacturers from a commercial and contractual point of view, negotiating, implementing and tracking change ensuring profitable and efficient operations. Key responsibilities:

  • Contract Management - Lead in the management of agreements with energy suppliers, manufacturers, and meter installers.
  • Meter Rollout Commercials - Maintain rollout commercials for each meter deployment program
  • Meter Churn Agreements - Maintain inheritor commercials tracker for contracted energy suppliers.
  • Management and Tracking of Costs - Responsible for the commercial relationships with installers and manufacturers
  • Financial Analysis - Conduct financial analysis of new smart metering opportunities, including pricing structures, installation costs and funding costs.
  • Tracking of Price Change Triggers - Tracking an external financial benchmark against contracts.
  • Credit Assessments: Management of the credit risk of partners and energy suppliers customers
 

Skills and experience required: 

  • Proven experience in commercial management and contract negotiation within the smart metering or utilities industry (MAP or Metering & Data Services or Energy Supplier)
  • Strong contract management, and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to driving business results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
