As the Key Account Manager, you’ll manage and grow existing client relationships, maximising revenue through cross-selling and up-selling services such as energy procurement, tenant re-billing, energy assessment & validation, carbon reduction and green energy solutions. Key responsibilities for the Key Account Manager:
- Own and manage relationships as the primary contact for a portfolio of existing B2B clients
- Onboard, build and nurture long-term partnerships with new accounts
- Identify and drive account growth by introducing additional services
- Manage customer projects from meter installation to energy reports, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery
- Build strong relationships across internal teams to understand and meet client needs
- Work with external partners to grow the business, sharing market insights and forecasts
Skills and Experience required for the Key Account Manager:
- Previous experience working in the energy/ utilities industry
- Proven experience in account management, preferably within the energy sector
- Solid understanding of commercial principles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Confident in engaging with clients and providing tailored customer solutions
- Strong people management capabilities, with a consultative and persuasive style
- Skilled at actively listening to client needs and crafting effective solutions
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
- Proficient in Excel with strong numerical skills
